Hey all, it has been a couple of days since I posted… So I am giving you two new flower paintings today, and two new ones tomorrow. Let me know what you think (since flowers are outside of my norm).
THE FIRST:
11″ x 8″ x 1.5″, oil on canvas, all sides are painted, signed on back
I love pretty much everything cherry. Cherry wood. Cherry Coke®. Artificially-flavored cherry candies. And apparently, cherry blossoms. They are beautiful. they smell good, feel good, look good.
In this interpretation of the cherry blossom I wanted the blossoms to be very tactile, enriching one of the viewer’s senses, much like the actual flower enriches senses.
THE SECOND:
8″ x 8″ x 1.5″, oil on canvas, all sides are painted, signed on back
So, apparently it is hard to find open flower shops at 6am when I begin painting… or after 11pm when I come home.
When roaming, I found these flowers planted at my subway station.
